Cygames now announced that Kimura Yuito or known as KMR has resigned from its position as an Executive Director as of September 30, 2025 after serving since 2019.

Kimura himself is a co-founder of Cygames which he founded with Koichi Watanabe in 2011. In addition, as long as he was in the company, he became a producer for various games including Granblue Fantasy, Shadowverse, Princess Connect! Re: Dive, and Umamusume Pretty Derby.

In his announcement, Cygames gave credit to Kimura as an important figure in the company’s growth and thanked a very great gratitude for his contribution.

And after Kimura resigned from his position in Cygames, all the responsibilities he was holding would be distributed and carried out by the current company board members.

After the announcement, Kimura responded to his decision to resign from the company. This response he shared through his personal Twitter/X account where it was known that the reason was back in connection with health conditions.

The intended health condition is not a disease that does not threaten his life. However, this condition is ongoing so it is quite difficult for him to do the task he is holding.

In addition to explaining the reason, Kimura also confirmed how the game projects he was undergoing. He explained that the project had been handed over to his colleagues and he also hoped to be back in the development of games in the future. Hopefully he can recover quickly and be active again.
