Via X/Twitter, a leaker named AlexandreNGamR claims that the newest Metro game will be announced next week.
You need to know, previously the same leaker also predicted that there would be a PlayStation State of Play on April 16 and this prediction turned out to be correct. This indirectly increases AlexandreNGamR’s credibility in the eyes of many gamers.
Of course, it is possible that these claims are simply coincidences or simply guesses that happen to be correct. Nevertheless, Gamers still hold out hope that the leaks about Metro this time at least contain the truth.

Until now, there is no information regarding what storyline the newest Metro game will carry. Considering that Metro Exodus has completed Artyom’s story in such a satisfying way, the next game will probably come with new characters. It could be that the approach is similar to Metro Awakening, namely a standalone story that stands on its own or, more interestingly, the new game could be the start of a new trilogy.
Developer Had Confirmed the Existence of the New Metro Game
Last year, in March 2025 to be precise, 4A Games confirmed that they were indeed working on the next Metro game. This confirmation emerged at the same time as an explanation of the studio’s internal split, where part of the team separated to work on a new project called La Quimera.
In its official statement, 4A Games confirmed that they are still working on the next Metro game with Dmitry Glukhovsky. The founders, leaders and core developers who have 20 years of experience working on the Metro series are also still there. At that time, 4A Games said that they would reveal the details when the time was right.
