Through his personal Twitter/X account, COO of Facepunch studios, Alistair McFarlane, made a tweet by uploading a loading screen while tagging the Delta Force account regarding the assets used in the game that looked quite similar to his own.

Alistair quipped by thanking Delta Force for being Rust fans and begging to remove these assets that were suspected to have been stolen. He also added that if they want to collaborate, Delta Force can contact him.

In another tweet, he showed the assets that were suspected to have been stolen. This asset is an asset that has been created by a developer on the Facepunch team with the username ArtOfPilgrim.

Alistair also appreciated the Cinematic Trailer that Delta Force had shared to promote the latest season which tells the story of Ahsarah and the new character, Gizmo. According to him, the cinematic trailer was very good.

Based on a comparison of the two images shared, many details look very similar, starting from the cable color details, to the position of the tape wrapped on the C4 which also has the same position.

After a while, Alistair said that this problem had been resolved where Delta Force had contacted and apologized for the incident. He also did not ask for the trailer to be removed.

Delta Force also responded to the tweet by thanking them for their understanding because the assets they used were assets purchased from an online shop where they did not verify properly and will take full responsibility for this incident.

The account also said that they appreciated Alistair for not asking for the trailer to be removed and would tighten the development process so that something like this didn’t happen again.
