Epic Says AI Cannot Replace Jobs, But Can Increase Efficiency

Video game production is a large and expensive process that usually requires the labor of many people. So, it is not surprising that the presence of AI is enough to catch the eyes of developer officials for the sake of financial efficiency. Unfortunately, the presence of AI (especially GenAI) has been gripped by many artists so that to this day it still reaps many objections.

However, according to Stephanie Arnette, Fortnite’s Senior External Development Manager, AI is not there to eliminate jobs, but Epic itself uses it as a co-development partner. What does it mean?

Epic Believes AI Will Increase Efficiency, Not Eliminate Jobs

In his interview with GamesRadar+, Arnette said that Epic itself is exploring many different AI tools that they can use to help develop their games.

He is well aware of the concerns of people who fear AI could take jobs. But Epic’s goal is not to eliminate jobs but rather to make them more efficient.

Epic Says AI Cannot Replace Jobs, But Can Increase Efficiency

Epic is exploring various AI tools that can be used to help develop our games. I know everyone’s biggest fear is, ‘Oh my gosh, AI will take all our jobs.’ But that’s not our goal. The goal is actually to make our work more efficient.

Arnette explained that for example a job that usually takes 10 hours to complete, could be completed more quickly if using AI. According to him, that is an interesting example of using AI

However, Arnette also emphasized that Epic has full control over any AI used in the Fortnite development process. There will be no gaps for outside partners to enter their information or AI tools into their system, because they are a very large company, so everything will always work from the inside out, not the other way around.

Epic Says AI Cannot Replace Jobs, But Can Increase Efficiency

Of course, this is not the first time we have heard that games are powered by AI. Even though there are still many players who strongly criticize the use of AI, there are still developers who ‘secretly’ use this technology in their games.

How great this AI technology will be in terms of ‘efficiency’ is yet to be measured. Worryingly, this efficiency statement will actually be used as an excuse to lay off employees. What do you think, bro?

PakarPBN

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.

In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.

The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
