Today, we announced that Resident Evil Requiem, released on February 27, 2026, has sold 6 million copies, the fastest milestone for a title in the series.
Resident Evil Requiem is the latest in the series offering photorealistic visuals & a deep immersive experience. Players can enjoy the essence of a heightened survival horror experience through intense fear and thrilling action, created by the 2 protagonists. Going forward, Capcom plans to implement several measures, such as ongoing support & other additional content, so that players can enjoy the game for longer.
Resident Evil itself will also celebrate its 30th anniversary on March 22 2026. Capcom is preparing various plans for this anniversary celebration to please fans, such as a collaboration between Universal Studio Japan, RE9 as well as orchestra concerts in Japan, Europe & the United States.
