The Elder Scrolls VI Release Schedule – On June 11, 2026, the only trailer for The Elder Scrolls VI will turn eight years old. Even though Bethesda claims that the game’s development is continuing well, some players are starting to lose patience. This situation also cannot be separated from the fact that the game was announced almost five years before the production process actually started in 2023.

A well-known insider named Jez Corden recently revealed updates about several Bethesda game projects in the latest episode of The Xbox Two podcast. According to him, The Elder Scrolls VI is still “quite far” from being finished. He even estimates that the game will probably be released around 2028 or 2029.
This prediction is in line with the latest statements from Bethesda itself. One of them was an interview in March 2026, where executive producer Todd Howard asked the players to “pretend to forget” that TES VI had ever been announced.
Corden’s estimate also makes sense considering current trends in the AAA games industry, where the average development cycle can be around five years. As a reference, TES VI will reportedly only enter the full production phase at the end of 2023, right after Bethesda releases Starfield.
Meanwhile the Fallout Remaster Game
Apart from The Elder Scrolls VI, Corden also emphasized that he does not expect either the remastered version of Fallout 3 or Fallout: New Vegas to be released before 2027. He estimates that at the earliest one of the two will appear in that year.
So, considering that Bethesda’s internal roadmap leak has mentioned a remastered version of Fallout 3 since 2023, the most logical candidate for release in 2027 is of course Fallout 3. Meanwhile, players who are really looking forward to the remastered version of New Vegas will most likely still have to wait a little longer.
