The following is a statement from the gearbox about the spyware problem in the new Borderlands game.

Hi everybody

We know that there are some concerns from fans about the Take-Two service provisions. Maintaining transparency and trust with the community here is always our destination, and we want to overcome some of these concerns.

First, take-two does not use spyware in the game. Take-two privacy policy applies to all labels, studios, games, and services in all types of media and platforms such as consoles, PCs, cellular applications and websites. Privacy policy identifies data activities that may be collected, but this does not mean that every example is collected in games or other services.

Take-two identified these practices in its privacy policy to provide transparency to players and comply with their legal obligations. Take-two gather this information to provide services to players, including to protect the game environment and player experience. You can read more about this in Privacy Policy.

For example, the identification of players and devices is partially collected to ascertain whether the game can be compatible with the type of media, platforms or websites for each player. This allows us to better understand how players can play, as well as personalize user experience (such as displaying username!). Account credentials are collected from users who choose to create an account with take-two and label.

Second, Take-Two prohibits mods that allow users to get unfair benefits or abuse service requirements. Which is a negative impact on the ability of other users to enjoy games as they should, or allow users to get access to content that is not the user’s right.

We do this to protect the integrity of game play experience for all users. Take-two generally will not take action against mods that are only for single-player, non-commercial, and respect for intellectual property rights (intellectual property) label and third parties.

As previously explained, Borderlands 2 was flooded with reviews in Steam. The reason is because of the change in EULA (End User License Agreement) or end user license agreement.

Changes in the regulation make players have to provide their personal data such as: full name, e-mail address, home address, mobile number and other sensitive personal data.

In addition to making fans have to provide personal data, whatever form in the game shooter made by gearbox will be called a violation and can even be bred.

That is a glimpse of information about the developer of Borderlands 4 who again said that the game has no spyware at all. What do you think about this information? Please write in the comments column.
