1. Background

Ezio was born in Florence, Italy on June 24, 1459. He was the middle or second child of Giovanni and Maria Auditore, and also the son of a very rich banker in the city of Florence.

Enjoying life until the age of 17, Ezio lived in prosperity and luxury as a Florentine nobleman with his older brother Federico, younger sister Claudia, and youngest brother Petruccio.

Long story short, Giovanni’s father turned out to be an Assassin in Italy. Ezio found out about this when the Templars broke into his house and killed his entire family. His father and two brothers, Federico and Petruccio, were arrested and executed, and Ezio escaped with his mother and younger sister.

Since that incident, Ezio and his family moved and hid in the Villa Auditore in the town of Monteriggioni, Tuscany with his Uncle Mario Auditore. Ezio’s life changed drastically, and his story as an Assassin began in a trilogy Assassin’s Creed.

2. Ancestor of Several Descendants of Modern Assassins

Just like Altair, Ezio is the ancestor or great-grandfather of important people in the world of modern Assassins. They are Clay Kaczmarek, father-daughter William and Desmond Miles, and most recently Noa Kim in Assassin’s Creed: The Forgotten Temple.

Clay Kaczmarek is a descendant of an Assassin who was kidnapped by Abstergo Industries as ‘Subject 16’ who was forced into the Animus to retrieve the memories of his ancestors, one of whom was Ezio. However, Bleeding Effects which he can make him mentally unstable and end up ending his life.

After Clay died, Desmond was kidnapped by Abstergo Industries and forced to become the 17th subject of the Animus in Rome in order to revive his memory as a descendant of the Assassins. He died after sacrificing himself to save the world, becoming ‘Reader‘ in a digital virtual world called Grey.

In the Forgotten Temple, Noa Kim met Ezio while using the Animus to explore Edward Kenway’s memories on a quest A piece of Eden in Southeast Asia.

The death of his father and two brothers devastated Ezio and he was intent on revenge. After accidentally discovering his father’s Assassin attributes, Uncle Mario finally taught, trained and transformed Ezio to become an Assassin.

Has been considered proficient in mastering fighting techniques until they are used hidden Blade, Ezio then launched his action to defeat the Templar officials who had killed his father, Rodrigo Borgia.

With no one to help, Ezio tried hard alone to destroy the Borgia government. In the end, Ezio managed to save Italy and the country regained its freedom.

After successfully conquering the Templars in Italy, Ezio returned to build the Brotherhood in Rome. Becoming Master Assassins and Mentors, the Brotherhood in Italy is more structured and stronger than before.

Not only that, this organization also successfully operates throughout Europe and Asia, and even succeeded in establishing union first in the New World. Under Ezio’s leadership from 1503 to 1513, the Italian Assassins reached the peak of their glory.

After returning from Türkiye, Ezio retired as an Assassin and lived in Villa Tuscany with his wife, Sofia Sartor and two children Flavia and Marcello. He died at the age of 65 due to a heart attack in his hometown, Florence.
