Since it was first announced, gaming life sim Krafton’s inZOI has succeeded in stealing the attention of many people, especially thanks to its charming visuals that utilize the capabilities of Unreal Engine 5.
Now, it seems that inZOI is creating a new breakthrough by changing NPCs into CPCs, aka Co-Playable Characters. No joke, this CPC is also powered by NVIDIA AI. What’s it like?
inZOI Game Introduces CPC, Better than NPC?
Not long ago, NVIDIA GeForce uploaded a video via its YouTube channel that introduced the use of NVIDIA AI in creating more realistic and almost real characters.
In its blog page, inZOI introduces Smart Zoi which is built using NVIDIA ACE technology. Smart Zoi is a Co-Playable Character (CPC) that looks more reactive and realistic than what we usually see.
In his writing, players will experience a comprehensive simulation community, where each ZOI in the city will act independently, driven by their life goals, and react to the environment and events around them.
The video above shows several situations, such as a character giving food to hungry people, and a character joining in the hype of a street artist. And actions like these will shape their personality over time.
That’s what developers are currently chasing about regarding this life-simulation game. What do you think? Is this inZOI CPC unique? Or is it actually no different from NPCs in general?
