Arthur Sawbridge, violinist and composer, has been playing since his fingers were big enough. In 2010, he swapped his orchestral seat for loop pedals and dived into Oxford’s alternative music scene. Earning comparisons to indie composer Mark Mothersbaugh, Arthur’s show has been described as ‘Palatial minimalism, composed in every sense.’ (OTR). He has performed in different settings around the UK, from Edinburgh to the Isle of Wight. Inspired by Owen Pallett, Arthur Russell and Brian Eno, Arthur’s music comprises live looping, evocative soundscapes and intricate improvisations. This will be his first show on a farm.
